January 2020: Gearing Up for a Great Semester

The Epsilon-Rho chapter of Sigma Pi is excited for a new semester. We’re only one month in and things are already off and running! Here’s what we had going on in January.

Mid-Year Leadership Conference

Winter might have been a hard-earned break from classes, but Sigma Pi was hard at work. Caleb Conaway (our VP), Matthew Keeling (our Treasurer) and Christopher Kollmeyer (our President) attended the Mid-Year Leadership Conference in Kansas City. They got the chance to meet leaders from Sigma Pi chapters across the nation, to attend great seminars, and, most importantly, to get inspired for the semester!

Chapter Retreat

We officially kicked the semester off with our annual retreat. The brothers traveled to a lodge in Branson for a few jam-packed days of planning, scheduling, structuring, and, of course, delicious home-cooked meals courtesy of our very own Caleb Conaway. We looked to the future with 2020 vision as we set our goals for the semester. Our aim is high, and enthusiasm is higher!

Drury Cheer Wins National Title

Two of our members are already off to a blistering start to 2020. Carter Lipari and Ben Lightner traveled to Florida with Drury Cheer and brought home a UCA Nationals title! Alum Cody Stepp was also a part of the victory! Congratulations to them and everyone on the team!

LOOKING FORWARD….

Growing the Chapter

A new semester means an opportunity to bring new members into the brotherhood. We look forward to making some new relationships! You can find our schedule of events on the homepage of this website. If you're interested, get in touch with Recruitment Coordinator Sage Kaneko at skaneko@drury.edu.

February Madness

What’s that noise? Is it the sweet swish of the net? Is it the competition trembling? Is it Matthew Keeling lacing up his lucky shoes? Or maybe all three…….

One thing’s for sure: intramural basketball season is coming. After finishing up volleyball in December, we take our quest for excellence to the court. We kick things off in early February.
